Meredith Bergmann, sculptor and designer

Meredith Bergmann is best known as the sculptor of the Boston Women’s Memorial on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston’s Back Bay (left) and the 9/11 Memorial at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City (center). Her competition-winning design for the Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony Woman Suffrage Movement Monument (right) will be the first statue honoring women in New York City’s Central Park.

Ms. Bergmann’s work deals with complex themes in an accessible, beautiful, and stimulating way. Working both on public monuments and on a private scale, she seeks out commissions that explore issues of history, race, human rights, disabilities, and the power of poetry and music.  Learn more at meredithbergmann.com.
